Dear visitors,

When an artist exhibits in an art gallery and a work is sold, the gallery owner takes — quite understandably! — a commission that averages 50%. When this commission is lower (20 to 30%), the artist generally has to pay space rental fees, the amount of which varies according to the gallery’s reputation, the duration of the exhibition, and the number of works presented.

When an artist exhibits their own works at an art fair, they must pay for space rental and various related services, which is also perfectly normal.

These costs explain why the same painting may be sold at different prices from one website to another, from one gallery to another, or from one contemporary art fair to another, depending on the terms of the signed contracts.

It goes without saying that I do not have to pay any rental fees to exhibit my works online! Therefore, out of honesty and transparency toward potential buyers of my paintings, I have decided to offer buyers “WebExclusives”:

• a 50% discount compared with the official gallery sale prices of my paintings, namely those of my certified rating;
• for any purchase made on my website by bank card or via PayPal (Direct Sale).

I will therefore no longer offer occasional promotional deals (particularly for the end-of-year holidays), but instead this continuous offer, starting today, as I celebrate 17 years of activity as a professional painter (MDA).

The purchasing process will remain unchanged.
I will continue to provide interested buyers with:

• a sales invoice;
• a copy of my updated certified rating;
• the text of the story of the collection to which the painting belongs;
• a handwritten and signed certificate of authenticity and originality.

When my paintings are exhibited in a gallery or at an art fair, the prices will therefore be set according to my approved valuation, without discount, unless a special commercial agreement is made (e.g. a discount offered for several works purchased at the same time).
