Introduction

“For me, a painting is never an end nor a conclusion, but rather a happy accident and an experience.”

These words by Pablo Picasso echo deeply within the heart of my collection, titled “SERENDIPITY” (in French: “HAS’ART”), a playful combination of “hazard” and “art.”

In this collection, each painting is an unpredictable journey, an intimate dialogue with the unknown, where technique bows to randomness to give rise to unique abstract universes.

My works emerge from a delicate interplay between my intention to create and the unrestrained spirit of fluid acrylic paint, which unfolds unexpected landscapes through its natural movements and undulations.

Inspiration for the Collection

My “SERENDIPITY” collection (Serendipity being one of my favorite words in Shakespeare’s language) is born from a fascination with the unpredictable and the ephemeral.

Through the process of acrylic pouring, I discovered a world where control yields to the magic of the present moment. Each canvas begins with a conscious choice of colors, but soon, chance takes over: pigments collide, dance, and fuse, weaving stories I could never have anticipated.

Here, Chance becomes the creator, an invisible collaborator guiding my gestures and transforming randomness into harmony. It is a pursuit of raw beauty, where not everything can be controlled, and the joy lies in the surprise and wonder of discovery.

Artistic Techniques: Acrylic Pouring on Canvas

The acrylic pouring technique is both playful and demanding - a blend of childhood spontaneity and the need for rigorous balance. The secret lies in the precise measurement of paint, water, pouring medium, and occasionally a drop of silicone oil, which forms fascinating cells - tiny floating worlds within the expanse of the canvas.

During the process, colors are poured, layered, and intermingled, but they never fully merge. The act is both deliberate and disarming: one guides without imposing, suggests without restricting. The resulting forms may be soft and organic or dynamic and tumultuous. As the paint dries, a transformation occurs. Colors bloom, contours shift, and the artwork takes on a second life.

Symbolism of the Collection: Letting Go to Embrace Creativity and Happy Accidents

“SERENDIPITY” is a celebration of unpredictability and liberated creativity. Each canvas tells a story about life’s inherent uncertainty. The blending of colors symbolizes the ever-evolving nature of human emotion, while the abstract forms invite personal contemplation and interpretation.

It is an invitation to embrace chaos as a creative force, to see in the uncontrolled a source of beauty and renewal. Here, serendipity becomes a philosophy: art as a reflection of a life enriched by its unpredictability, where every unforeseen event carries infinite potential.
