Against The Currents

My painting "Against the Currents" explores the difficult reality of choices we face when our life paths intersect and collide. The very title, Against the Currents, conveys the sensation of being caught between two opposing forces, each pulling equally on our will. Like a tumultuous sea, the movement of the water seems to struggle against every gust of wind, creating a dynamic of resistance and inner tension.

Through this work, I seek to capture the essence of hesitation - that moment when we stand at a crossroads, confronted with conflicting choices, sometimes with no apparent resolution.

The painting symbolizes the soul’s upward movement, striving to free itself from the gravity of doubt while being drawn to the comfort of familiar decisions.

Fluid forms and vibrant colors illustrate this inner battle - a face-off with the unknown and the uncertainty it brings. Like water seeking to flow freely, our desires often clash with the realities of our decisions, generating waves of tension.

Thus, "Against the Currents" becomes a metaphor for the human process of choice: a search for balance between opposing forces, a continuous quest to rise above turbulence.
