The story behind
This symbolic painting poetically (and fictively) evokes the origin of the world. In the vastness of blue and gold emerges a feminine silhouette, featureless yet majestic, bearing a blue veil that merges into the universe. Her white face, a pure burst of light, rises above the chaos of forms. Only her mouth is revealed, that mouth symbolising the primal utterance which was with the Creative Breath at the very beginning, that creative breath which sprang forth with the light to bring the world into being. And this woman of "white-blue" hue represents the mother of that living Word, she who gave it life in this world… Around her, the colours unite (the blue of the waters, the gold of the stars, the white of origins), as though the elements themselves were gathering beneath her veil. Her maternal and protective presence is at once earthly and celestial, aquatic and airy, fragile and infinitely powerful. She gazes to the right, towards the future, reminding us that creation is never closed, but carries on in the momentum of life and that there is never an end to anything. Thus, this mysterious yet hopeful painting resembles a promise. It is also an enigma: What if the mystery of all things, the origin of all things, is none other than that silent word which continues to create within us?
