Quintessence (521)

A geyser of green and gold bursts from the bottom of the canvas, like a vital surge crossing matter to reach the light. Around it, purples and blacks form a mantle of depth, where sparks of copper and ochre glow like embers. Light blue opens a breach, bringing breath, an opening toward infinity. Shapes intertwine, break, regenerate, tracing an ascending movement that recalls both the explosion of a star and the awakening of a spring. One senses the dialogue of the elements: earth burning, water gushing, sky brightening. Everything converges toward an invisible center, from which emanates a force beyond eye and mind. And if this colorful ascent were but the image of our own longing for elevation, always seeking a vaster horizon?
