The Eye of Providence

We all contemplate the universe… but perhaps it is gazing back at us as well?
And what if the universe watched us, with an immense eye open upon infinity, a silent witness to the passing centuries?

My painting “The Eye of Providence”, created in acrylic on canvas, possesses a mystical character directly inspired by the work’s title.
The use of vivid, contrasting colours, along with the central circular shape, suggests a kind of portal or passage to another world, leaving the viewer with a sense of transcendence and mystery. The eye, rendered at the heart of the composition, adds an element not of surveillance, but of protection: a celestial, divine, or angelic guardianship—yet omnipresent and all-knowing—that watches over the world, observes all that occurs, and gently guides us on our respective journeys, along a path charted since the dawn of time.

This painting is an invitation to reflect on our place in the universe, on the very nature of existence. With a few colours and a handful of words, I wished to pay homage, in my own way, to the Creator of all things, to the originator of a perfect plan, without whom nothing would exist:

In cosmic darkness
The eye of providence shines
With a gentle, sacred light,
A world revealed as magical.
Full of Wisdom and Knowledge,
The Master who shaped all things,
Watches us with loving kindness,
Children dancing in the ring.
Divine guidance ever near,
Leading souls to endless years.
O sacred eye of providence,
Keeper of celestial lore,
Guardian of the universe,
You invite us to explore
The beauty of your creation,
To meditate with devotion
Upon the meaning of our existence.
