This painting opens like a burst of earth and sky united. Turquoise and emerald striations fan out, strong and ordered, recalling the fronds of monumental foliage. At the heart, incandescent oranges and reds surge like a glowing ember, an inner hearth that warms the entire composition. The thick, striated matter gives the whole a tactile intensity.
