The story behind
Perched upon the heights of the invisible, "The Heavenly City" unfolds in a burst of light and mystery, suspended between sky and eternity. It belongs neither to time nor space but to an impalpable elsewhere - a realm of dreams and spirituality.
Is it a mystical vision of paradise, a sanctuary lost in the vastness of the clouds, or the reflection of an inner city, a place of elevation and peace that dwells within each of us?
In this entirely abstract work, created with acrylic and palette knife, each stroke of the blade shapes a world in motion - a city vibrating with energy, carried by an ascending breath.
The city seems to surge toward the right, toward the future, as if propelled by an invisible force pulling it from the shadows and lifting it into the light. Its ethereal architecture follows no earthly rule; it is born from color, from matter, from the instinctive gesture that draws it out of chaos, like a mirage woven from the depths of the mind.
Deep blues and intense violets envelop the scene in a dreamlike aura, bestowing upon the composition an almost divine dimension. These hues, linked to mystery and transcendence, evoke the star-strewn skies of ecstatic nights, the realms of the soul where the boundary between reality and imagination dissolves. Here, light does not merely illuminate - it guides, it calls, it carves the contours of a hope elusive yet undeniably real.
And what if this city were not a place, but a state of being? A secret longing, a promise of harmony? Perhaps it symbolizes an inner journey, a spiritual ascent where each trial becomes a step toward an invisible summit. A reminder that, even buried beneath doubts and wanderings, we all carry within us the possibility of another realm, a renewal, an elevation.
Thus, "The Heavenly City" is not merely a vision - it is a quest. It is an invitation to lift our gaze, to pierce the mist of the everyday and glimpse, if only for an instant, the magnificence of what lies beyond. A silent call to believe in the infinite, in beauty that rises, in the light that always guides us - even through the clouds.
