The story behind

What if what we call the end were merely a beginning we are incapable of imagining? In this painting, light no longer seems to be calling us from some distant elsewhere. It is everywhere. It envelops space, travels through the colours and appears to give birth to a new reality, freed from the forms and landmarks of the earthly world. Deep blacks remain present, yet they no longer dominate the composition. Above them emerge blazing clouds of orange, gold and pink, while turquoise and blue seem to open passages towards other depths. At the boundary between light and darkness, strange violet vibrations appear like the heartbeat of a world awakening. Everything seems to float. There is no longer any ground, horizon, above or below. Only celestial matter in motion, as though existence had shed its limitations and rediscovered some original freedom. The title “New Beginning” might naturally evoke the many fresh starts that punctuate a human life. Yet within the universe of Celestial Visions, another interpretation becomes possible: that of a rebirth following the final journey. What if The Passage had been crossed? What might we find beyond that invisible boundary which has nourished human beliefs, philosophies and dreams since the beginning of time? The painting, of course, makes no claim to provide an answer. Instead, it chooses the infinitely freer territory of imagination. And within this imagined realm, the afterlife does not appear as a motionless or silent place, but as an extraordinary effervescence of light. Death itself might then lose something of its finality. Not because we know what comes after it, but because we simply allow ourselves to imagine that disappearance might be followed by transformation. After all, the entire universe seems to teach us that nothing remains truly still. Stars are born and disappear, matter transforms, worlds evolve, and from what fades away may emerge the conditions for new creation. Why should our dreams of eternity be any different? Perhaps thisew Beginning, then, does not depict paradise. It depicts something even more mysterious: the possibility of an afterwards. An elsewhere where we might no longer be quite what we once were, without having entirely ceased to be. And what if, at the end of the journey, we discovered that eternity was not a destination… but simply another way of beginning?
