Quintessence (87)

In this painting, colors burst forth like an armful of fire and flowers, blazing and abundant. Incandescent red unfurls at the centre, embraced by burning shades of orange, while violets and pinks spread like fiery petals. The pigments are layered in shifting veils, conjuring the sense of a vegetal blaze, an incandescent coral blossoming in marine depths. At the base, violets and blues form a mineral, almost telluric foundation, from which this flaming ascent emerges. Higher up, golden light and flashes of yellow scatter like sparks, seeds of fire poised to fertilise the night. The whole vibrates with an alchemical energy, a mysterious union of lava and water, the terrestrial and the cosmic. This canvas questions the boundary between destruction and creation: does this blaze consume an ancient world, or is it giving birth to a new, living constellation? And what if every inner conflagration — within ourselves, in nature, in the universe — were but an invitation to be reborn anew, vaster, more radiant?
