Plato's Island

In this painting, colors burst forth like fragments of a sunken city, suspended between memory and myth. The blazing orange expands like a setting sun, recalling the lost brilliance of Atlantis as described by Plato. Violets and turquoises blend with golds, suggesting the wealth of a world both real and imagined, where splendor and downfall intertwine. The composition evokes the fragile instant when a civilization shifts: between greatness and disappearance, between light and abyss. The dark circle, like a vortex, draws the eye, an image of the chasm that both swallows and preserves. Yet luminous bursts remain, like surviving relics in collective memory.
