The story behind
My painting "What Dreams Are Made Of (12)" created in acrylic, is an emotional odyssey, a dive into the depths of our dreams and aspirations. Through a delicate color palette and a subtle interplay of textures and layering, this work explores the floating space between reality and imagination, that intimate realm where our deepest hopes and visions take shape.
The soft hues that compose the canvas create an ethereal and mysterious atmosphere, enveloping the viewer in a sensation of tranquility and lightness, like a dream unfolding endlessly. The presence of white, both luminous and omnipresent, reinforces this sense of absolute serenity, evoking elevation and openness to the unknown. It acts as a diffused light, a soothing presence that gently guides the eye without ever imposing itself.
In contrast, vivid bursts of color break through this softness with dynamic and striking accents. These vibrant flashes seem to emerge like moments of clarity within the dream, symbolizing sudden revelations, deep intuitions, and fragments of consciousness rising from the current of our imagination.
The layering of textures and colors gives the composition a sense of fluid depth, a vibration that conveys constant transformation. Through these delicately intertwined nuances, the painting evokes the flow of thoughts, the subtle transitions between wakefulness and sleep, where forms and ideas intertwine and dissipate in an oneiric dance.
This piece is an invitation to contemplation and introspection, a call to explore the boundaries of imagination and surrender to the poetry of abstraction. It does not offer a single interpretation but rather a unique sensory and emotional experience, where each viewer can project their own dreams, questions, and aspirations.
Through "What Dreams Are Made Of (12)", I seek to capture that floating, elusive state of dreaming, that moment when the mind drifts, where everything becomes possible, and where the real and the unreal merge into a fleeting yet infinitely rich harmony.
