The story behind

My painting "What Dreams Are Made Of (8)" is a work imbued with lightness and fluidity, symbolizing the human soul’s longing to rise toward a higher ideal.

The vertical movements, captured through soft, organic forms, reflect this spiritual quest, driven by the desire to reach divine light. Yet, while these movements are ascending, they are not entirely linear. Within this elevation lies a delicate fluidity, symbolizing the fragility and dissolution of the spiritual journey - a path woven with doubts and uncertainties.

The fluid shapes that unfold across the canvas appear to rise toward the light, yet they gradually dissolve as they ascend. This motion conveys the idea that spiritual seeking is a constant pursuit, a perpetual movement toward an ideal that remains elusive. These forms, though elongated and carried by an invisible breath, fade into space, suggesting that even in the aspiration to the divine, there exists a certain ephemeral nature to the quest, an inherent fragility.

Light is the key element of this work, yet it remains both present and elusive. It emanates from a central source, illuminating the fluid forms, yet it is never fully graspable, dissipating into space. Light serves as a metaphor for the spiritual ideal - the soul’s aspiration toward a divine principle, yet it never fully allows itself to be captured. It remains a distant longing, an intense yearning that always slips away, reinforcing the idea that the spiritual quest is infinite and that the ideal remains forever in motion.

The dominant colors - primarily pale blues, luminous whites, and golden-copper accents - amplify the painting’s ethereal and delicate atmosphere. The soft blue, symbolizing the infinite and spiritual seeking, expresses a longing for the invisible. The pure, radiant white represents divine light and spiritual purity, the ultimate aspiration of the soul. The golden hues add warmth, an inner guiding light, a quiet flame that persists throughout the journey. These colors blend harmoniously into a luminous yet fragile atmosphere, where light both diffuses and dissolves at the same time.

The trailing streaks of color, fading progressively into space, reinforce the ephemerality of the spiritual pursuit. These traces of light symbolize the endless search for the spiritual ideal, a quest that often disappears into the invisible. They remind us that though the soul deeply longs for illumination, the ideal always remains just beyond reach, almost untouchable.

Subtle reflections within the painting highlight the importance of inner contemplation in the spiritual journey. The soul, while reaching for external light, must also turn inward, into the mirror of its own existence.

These reflections symbolize the notion that the spiritual quest is not merely an outward movement but also an inner voyage, where the soul must first understand itself before breaking free from its own limitations.

This introspection becomes an essential step in the pursuit of true spiritual light.
