The story behind
"In Corde Coeli (47)" is a painting where light rises delicately, tracing secret pathways through the depths of the sky. This work is a silent exploration of the moment when light slowly emerges from shadow, creating a passage between the visible and the invisible, between darkness and awakening.
The dominant shades of blue, tinged with violet, imbue the canvas with an atmosphere of calm and mystery. This blue is not a simple static backdrop - it vibrates, it lives, traversed by currents of cadmium yellow, green, and soft pink that seem to gradually bloom. At the top of the canvas, luminous shades of yellow and green extend in graceful swirls, reminiscent of the slow, hypnotic dance of the aurora borealis. Each burst of light, each movement, seems to tell a story of transformation and discovery.
By allowing the inks to flow freely, I let the canvas find its own rhythm, its own breath. The areas where colors fuse create gentle transitions, spaces where light quietly infiltrates, filling the void with subtle radiance.
For me, "In Corde Coeli (47)" is a metaphor for an inner journey. It is not about sudden brilliance, but rather about a gradual, patient progression where light reveals itself little by little. This work illustrates how moments of stillness and darkness can be phases of gestation - necessary steps before the emergence of a new clarity.
As one contemplates this painting, I hope they will surrender to a feeling of serenity and wonder - to the idea that even shadows hold within them a light waiting to emerge.
"In Corde Coeli (47)" is an homage to quiet, essential light - the kind that guides gently without force, and that always finds a way to illuminate our path.
