The story behind
In this painting, the sea unfolds as the vast mirror of life, fluid and elusive. Across its vibrant azure slides a trail of burning colors: the gold of the sun, the red of vitality, the violet of mystery. These movements suggest the inevitable journey of existence, which begins in the radiance of the East and ends in the silence of the West. The sweeping curves evoke a sail carried by the wind, fragile and magnificent, moving inexorably toward the setting sun. Here, exile is not only geographical: it is spiritual, a reminder that every life is a passage, a crossing toward elsewhere. The sunset symbolizes an ending but also the promise of light beyond. Thus, each wave, each flash of color becomes a meditation on impermanence, and on the beauty hidden within this irreversible motion. And could it be that behind the exile of the West lies the return toward a new dawn?
