The story behind

In this painting, matter condenses into an almost mineral relief: ochres, greens and browns intertwine like the strata of living rock. Through them run veins of violet and red light, as though the heart of the earth were beating within the stone itself. The coloured cells bring to mind corals, shells embedded in the wall, or perhaps petrified constellations. Each fragment appears to contain an ancient memory, a breath buried deep within the material, at the boundary between the subterranean and the celestial.
