Quintessence (1090)

In this painting, a world of contrasts unfolds before the gaze: gold and green spread out like fertile lands, crossed by incandescent veins, while deep blues flow in liquid expanses, vast as oceans or endless skies. Flashes of red bubbles erupt like embers beneath the surface, as though matter itself breathed with a secret fire. Everything interlaces in an organic motion, with nothing fixed in place: water becomes light, earth turns fluid, and the sky liquefies into shifting waves. It is an uncertain landscape, at once mineral, aquatic and cosmic, evoking the genesis of unknown worlds. One’s eye becomes lost, drawn in by an invisible magnetism that pulls ever further, ever deeper.
