Quintessence (1379)

At the center of this canvas, bright blue veins burst forth like a spring of clear water or a cluster of stars forming. Around them, shades of green, brown, and gold trace shapes in motion, resembling coral reefs bathed in light or continents floating in space. The turquoise pockets evoke both the transparency of underwater bubbles and the cold gleam of distant planets. Streaks of azure spread out in intricate networks, resembling living roots or interconnected constellations. Each small section seems to hold a miniature world, a kind of promise of an expanding universe. The whole piece radiates an energy tied equally to the earth and the cosmos, as if ocean and sky had merged into a single substance. At the bottom, thicker colors accumulate like deposits of life or clusters of ancient stars.
