Like a fissure in the darkness, light bursts forth in this painting as a luminous serpent, threading its way through the gloom with iridescent flashes. Golds, greens and violets spread out like veins of life in a cosmic rock still raw. The primordial chaos becomes flesh of colour, animates itself, almost breathes. In the heart of the dark matter, sparks spring up as promises of stars yet in gestation. The eye follows this sinuous current, resembling a river of fire and foam, a passage opened within the density of shadow. Everything seems at once to extinguish and ignite, to dissolve and to come into being, as if the canvas captured the fragile instant where creation hesitates between a return to nothingness and an unfolding towards infinity.
