The story behind

In this painting, an intense swirl of emerald, purple and ochre unfolds like a living map. Here, the eye hesitates: is it gazing upon a coral reef from above, with its turquoise lagoons and blazing masses, or rather the drifting of stellar continents across the ether? The violet bubbles burst like marine polyps, only to transform at once into nebulae throbbing in the interstellar void. Filaments of orange and red spurt forth, like undersea lava flows or solar geysers. At the centre, shifting forms suggest the presence of unsuspected life: perhaps a tiny organism, perhaps a cluster of stars coming into being. Everything overlaps and merges, as if every fragment of matter revealed a double identity. The turquoise horizon, clear and limpid, acts like a breath: an opening towards the open sea, or towards infinity. It is an invitation to cross an invisible boundary, where dimensions cease to oppose one another. And what if, in the end, the ocean were but the mirror of the sky, each containing the other in an endless play of scales?
