In this painting, an unsuspected flamboyance arises from the obscure depths. Here, materials clash as if in the belly of a marine volcano: layers of earthy brown, carmine flashes, orange flames, turquoise and mauve veins intersecting like opposing currents. All appears as chaos, and yet, from this collision an unpredictable harmony is born. Just as in the abysses, where life invents luminous forms to resist the darkness, the canvas becomes a matrix of mystery and revelation. The blackness does not dissolve here; it remains, profound, inscribed like a memory of shadow. But it is from this very darkness that colour bursts forth—fragile yet sovereign flashes carving their way towards the surface. The viewer is drawn in, absorbed into these crevices, until one feels that at the very heart of night, a vibrant energy smoulders.
