The story behind

In this painting, the sail of a ship returns ablaze, bearing the fires and mysteries of Santorini. Shades of red, violet, and orange seem to carry the memory of volcanic earth and submerged legends. Here, the return is not a simple homecoming: it is an inner crossing, a way of carrying within oneself the imprint of myth. Each burst of color becomes a witness to what has been seen and felt: the light of vanished civilizations, the resonance of sunken peoples. The canvas tells the story of the traveler’s metamorphosis: after beholding the unknown, one never truly returns the same. Thus, every return is also a new beginning.
