The story behind
n my painting "Sea-Mulation (167)" the boundary between the wave and the sailboat blurs, becoming almost imperceptible.
This piece evokes the untamed nature of existence, where familiar landmarks dissolve when we allow ourselves to drift without a clear direction.
The sea - this vast, uncharted expanse - becomes a metaphor for life itself, often disorienting, sometimes destabilizing. One can no longer discern whether the sailboat is a wave or the wave is a sailboat, symbolizing the loss of control that arises when life lacks a defined purpose.
Directions become uncertain, mirroring the feeling of being lost in the face of choices, searching for meaning. This painting reflects the ambiguity of life: moving forward without knowing whether one is heading left or right, with only the sea as a guide. It carries a message about the importance of defining oneself, of finding a trajectory amidst turbulence.
"Sea-Mulation (167)" invites contemplation on our personal search for meaning, in a world where distinguishing our true goals from the waves that push us in uncertain directions can be a challenge.
