Introduction

“Color is the glory of light.”

Jean Guitton's words resonate within me like a revelation, a guiding thread that weaves through my artistic vision.

Color, the vibrant and subtle emanation of light, lies at the heart of my collection "LUMINESCENCE".

In this series of paintings, I seek to capture not physical reality but the emotional essence of the aurora borealis and the skies that inspire me. This project is a declaration of love to light, to its ephemeral dances, and to the poetic infinity of the sky.

Inspiration for the Collection

To me, the sky is the most beautiful masterpiece ever created. It evokes an infinite canvas where light, in its generosity, composes chromatic symphonies that touch the soul.

I have always been fascinated by the aurora borealis, those enigmatic dances of light born from the interaction of charged particles and Earth’s magnetic fields. Their graceful movements, sometimes tempestuous, sometimes soothing, transport me to a mystical realm where time seems to fade away. This fascination has inspired not only "LUMINESCENCE" but also other collections such as "Evanescence". However, my goal is not to faithfully reproduce celestial landscapes. My ambition lies elsewhere. I aim to paint the emotion - the intimate vibration that overwhelms me when I witness an incandescent sunrise or a sunset that sets the horizon ablaze.

Each canvas is an open window to an imaginary world, an invitation to be carried away by the timeless and eternal beauty of our universe.

Artistic Techniques: Coloured Inks, Watercolor and acrylic paint 

"LUMINESCENCE" is as much a technical journey as it is an emotional one. To express the infinity of the heavens, I chose to vary supports and mediums: stretched canvas, watercolor paper, and the ultra-smooth Yupo paper, renowned for its resilience and unique surface. Inks, with their fluidity and intensity, are at the core of this exploration. Combined with watercolor or acrylic, they create effects of transparency and depth, revealing the richness of luminous interactions.

This blend of techniques symbolizes an essential truth: in our universe, anything is possible. The interplay of materials and textures mirrors the unpredictable and magical character of the skies. Each work becomes a visual alchemy, where hues vibrate and transform under the viewer’s gaze.

The Symbolism of The Collection

The harmoniously orchestrated colors evoke the rainbow, a universal symbol of hope and renewal. This divine covenant, made to Noah as a promise of renewed life, finds its echo in my works. The lights of the sky, far more than mere optical phenomena, become spiritual guides. Like Iris, the messenger of the gods, they carry promises of transformation and resilience.

Each painting is a silent prayer, a meditation on the beauty and fragile preciousness of life. Through these dancing colors, I hope to remind viewers that art, like light, can illuminate our shadows and offer us a horizon of hope.

Lux Aeternam: A Celebration of Eternal Light

"LUMINESCENCE" is more than a collection; it is a vibratory homage to the infinite heavens. In this universe, where everything seems both fleeting and eternal, I hope my works will touch hearts like a caress of light.

May my paintings serve as bridges to luminous dreams, spaces where each person can rediscover the beauty that unites us all to the universe.

Through these colors and forms, I offer a fragment of the sky to those who wish to look upward and rediscover the magic of a world where anything is possible.
