The story behind

In this painting, the sky no longer tells a story: it whispers. Light seems to have lost all boundaries. It drifts, diffuses, fades away, then is reborn elsewhere, amid deep greens, muted blues and glowing shades of orange. Flecks of white dust scatter across this space like words upon an infinite page. Nothing is truly defined, and yet everything seems inhabited. This painting evokes a universe that does not seek to reveal its secrets to us, but simply allows us to sense their presence. Forms emerge, only to slip away from the gaze. In the upper right, a glowing circle seems to sketch the outline of a celestial body, an eye, or perhaps a passage. Elsewhere, luminous bursts rise from the cosmic mist like distant presences. This ambiguity gives the painting its contemplative power: what we believe we recognize may belong more to our inner world than to the painting itself. There is something profoundly Romantic in this way of placing the human being before an immensity that can neither be fully measured nor possessed. Poets have often looked to the heavens for a language capable of expressing what ordinary words can no longer convey: wonder, vertigo, solitude at times, but also the strange intuition that we belong to something greater than ourselves. And perhaps this is precisely what poetry is: not an attempt to explain the mystery, but a way of leaving it enough space to remain a mystery. The painting thus seems suspended between appearance and disappearance, matter and dream, intimacy and infinity. Its lights point toward no particular destination. They simply shimmer in the darkness, like those stars we have gazed upon since the dawn of time, never quite knowing what we are searching for in them. “Astral Poem” reminds us of something very simple: when faced with immensity, perhaps we do not always need to understand. Sometimes, wonder itself is already an answer.
