The story behind

Perhaps, somewhere beyond the reach of our eyes, there is a path that leads to no place at all. A path with no earth beneath our feet, no horizon to show us the way, no beginning and no end. A path we could only follow by gradually surrendering everything that binds us to the visible world. In this painting, space seems to open around a vast circular movement. Reds, golds, blues and greens sweep into an immense cosmic curve, like the blazing remnants of matter still alive with the memory of life. As they move onward, the pigments ignite, grow lighter, become almost white, until they finally meet the central radiance that irresistibly draws the eye. And yet, it does not dazzle. It beckons. The entire composition seems to revolve around this silent presence. A light that might be a star, a doorway, a consciousness, an origin rediscovered — or simply that realm of the unknown we each carry within us whenever we try to imagine what may lie beyond existence. For perhaps this path is not a journey through space at all. Perhaps it is a journey of release. As matter approaches the light, forms seem to lose their weight. Colours become vibrations, contours dissolve, and the material universe gradually appears to give way to something that painting itself can no longer quite depict. And then a profoundly human question arises: what if dying did not mean disappearing, but simply becoming impossible to see? Since the dawn of time, we have tried to give shape to what lies beyond us. We have named the stars, drawn constellations, imagined heavens and populated the invisible so that infinity might feel a little less foreign. Yet perhaps there is a threshold beyond which all our representations become unnecessary. Here, the light could be that threshold. It reveals nothing of what lies beyond. It promises nothing. It deliberately remains a mystery, allowing each of us to place within it our own hope, our own intuition, our own vision of eternity. It does not seek to answer the question of what lies beyond. On the contrary, it preserves the very mystery that, since childhood, has made us lift our eyes towards the sky and wonder what might still be waiting there… just a little farther away. And within this immense darkness crossed by colour, something nevertheless seems to whisper that perhaps the journey never truly ends. That we come from light. That we spend a little while in matter. And that at the end of the path, perhaps, the light is waiting for us still.
