Ethereal Surge

There are moments when matter seems to forget its own weight. It sheds its contours, relinquishes its certainties, and allows itself to be drawn towards a place beyond the reach of the eye. In this painting, light appears to be born from an improbable encounter. On the left, almost earthly clouds mingle gold, blue and transparency, like the last memories of a world still familiar to us. Then something opens. A radiance bursts from the heart of the painting, fragile yet sovereign, like a passage between two dimensions. Around it, colour stretches, scatters and becomes stardust, while an immense blue wave rises towards the darkness. Yet the blackness here is not the blackness of nothingness. It is depth, silence, promise. A few points of light remain suspended within it, tiny presences in an immensity that seems to have neither beginning nor end. And so the gaze hesitates: are we witnessing a birth or a departure? The emergence of one world, or the dissolution of another? Perhaps the two are merely different moments of the same movement. For sometimes we must agree to lose our boundaries before discovering that the unknown is not necessarily an emptiness. It may instead be a space towards which something within us has always yearned. And in this Ethereal Surge, the light seems to whisper that infinity may not begin at the edge of the universe, but precisely where we cease trying to understand it.
