Eadem Mutata Resurgo

“As I was, I shall continue to be.” Thus seems to speak the light in this painting, evoking in imagery the soul at the threshold of its metamorphoses. Death here is not an end, but a passage. It does not extinguish the spark: it transforms it. As the moon changes face without vanishing, as the flame divides without ever dying, so does the being rise again, different and yet the same. This canvas seeks to reveal that splendor. A radiance cuts through the night, splitting the shadow into a veil of clarity. Forms spring forth, transfigured, as though essence itself were breaking free of its bonds. “Eadem Mutata Resurgo” is no lament: it is a song of continuity.
