The story behind
In ancient traditions, a sacred name is celebrated: Param Atma, “the supreme soul.” Not a form, not a face, but a presence that embraces all. This painting imagines its silent radiance. In the midst of the cosmic night, a source of light bursts forth, neither sun nor star, but living breath dwelling within all things. “Param Atma” is everywhere and nowhere. In the beating of a heart, in the course of the planets, in the invisible caress of the wind. It is the hidden axis of the universe, the spark that binds the finite to the infinite. To contemplate this painting is to feel that we are not alone. For within each of us keeps watch the same fire, a fragment of eternity, a core of light vaster than the world. “Param Atma” offers no answers, it invites to inner silence. It does not command: it awakens. And in this clarity, the soul recognizes its origin, as a drop recognizes the ocean. Thus, this painting becomes a mantra, not written, but painted in the mists of the sky. And the one who surrenders to it hears this profound echo: “You are stardust, and to the stars you shall return…”
