The Spirit of Nature (1)

This painting draws inspiration from the unique history of the Buttes Chaumont, once stone quarries, now a green sanctuary in the heart of Paris. The red, blue, and golden bursts evoke bouquets of flames rising from the past, as if the bare cliffs had preserved within them a fiery memory. The vertical energy of the strokes recalls both trees reaching upward and spirits keeping watch.
