In this painting, a radiant moon crescent, looking like the veil of some ship, rises, shining guardian above the quiet waters. Its brilliance awakens the sky, while a sail swells, stretched toward the unknown, catching the newborn light as an offering. It surges forward, weightless, opening the way into a trembling expanse. Around it, colours burst forth, splashing the canvas in fiery sprays, like liquid flames celebrating the awakening of the world. The reflection quivers, a fragile promise suspended upon the water’s surface. Each vibration becomes breath. Between sea and sky, everything merges — above and below, the small and the boundless.
