Quintessence (1149)

This painting evokes a coral reef, but one located at the heart of the cosmos. Light fractures into a thousand sparkling reflections. Violet and orange rise like glowing corals, their translucent branches stretching endlessly into the sky. Bright red bursts forth in places, reminiscent of the pulsating life of stellar anemones or the fiery breath of an imaginary underwater volcano. Surrounding them, deep blues and shades of turquoise spread in shifting layers, like celestial waters in constant motion. It’s as if we’re witnessing clusters of living cells, colorful alveoli silently dancing to the rhythm of the universe. The eye gets lost in this rich blend of substance and delicate bubbles of light.
