The story behind

This painting evokes an alchemy in perpetual metamorphosis: the blues and whites below stretch out like melting glaciers or clouds suspended, whilst the golds, reds and violets above blaze like lands in gestation. Altogether, it creates the impression of a passage between two worlds—the realm of clear, pure water, and that of dense, incandescent matter. Veins of colour wind like rivers of light, connecting every fragment of the pictorial space. One seems to witness, before one's eyes, the birth of the first continents of a new planet, born from the union of fire and water.
