Quintessence (1222)

This canvas evokes a celestial wave, a fluid ascent where luminous cascades of blue prevail. Brilliant whites burst forth like flashes of lightning, cleaving the material and opening gateways to the invisible. All around, incandescent reds and oranges set the composition ablaze, echoing the heat of fire at the heart of this aquatic vastness. Violets and purples slip into the depths, bestowing upon the whole a mystical intensity, as though secret worlds were concealed within the folds of colour. Each zone seems to vibrate with its own energy: at times airy, at others mineral, or liquid. This is a painting of metamorphosis, where one discerns at once the current of a river, the blaze of a volcano, and the expansion of a galaxy. Here, the eye is invited to follow this ascending flow, to be carried by the vital surge that traverses the entire canvas.
