The story behind

An incandescent breath sweeps across this canvas: tongues of red and gold flame surge into the boundless blue, like streams of energy converging. On either side, these eruptions seem to respond, to attract and melt into one another, until they give rise to a blazing wave. The deep blues, studded with pale cells, recall the primordial night, that silent space before the explosion. Then comes fire, gold, red—the spark that tears the darkness and ushers in movement.
