In this painting, light bursts forth like an inner spring, dazzling and unpredictable. At the centre, iridescent whites merge with mauves and violets, sketching shifting shapes that at times suggest silhouettes, at others crystalline flashes. Greens and golds unfurl around them like fertile ground, sprinkled with minute cells that vibrate like star seeds poised to germinate. Every detail appears to breathe, as though matter itself were striving to come alive before our very eyes. One discerns filaments, coloured veins, a circulation of energy running from one corner of the canvas to the other, linking the blazing upper reaches to the more tranquil lower plane. The eye is lost amid these secret passages, these subtle metamorphoses where the solid liquefies and the ether resolves into substance. The impression is that of a world in gestation, a suspended moment in which the universe imagines its own forms.
