In this painting, colours erupt as living embers. Incandescent reds mingle with radiant golds, while deep violets and browns stretch into shifting shadows. Shards of turquoise and green pierce the density, like springs of fresh water cutting through lava. The eye is seized by this central eruption, a flare seeming to surge from the heart of matter itself. Everything is in upheaval, everything collides, and yet nothing is in vain: each hue partakes in a secret alchemy, where shadow nourishes brilliance, where destruction gives rise to genesis. One glimpses both a cavern of fire and an aquatic womb, an inner landscape where contrary elements fertilise one another. It is a painting of transition, an invitation to plunge into the tumult to discover the light that slumbers within.
