The story behind
"In Corde Coeli (46)" is a work where light seems to journey, carving its way through the vast, dark expanses of the sky, carrying with it the promise of an imminent renewal.
This painting evokes the encounter between the mystery of shadow - rooted in the lower part of the canvas - and the quiet yet unyielding force of light advancing, fluid and resolute, toward the horizon above.
The deep, enveloping blues and purples that dominate the lower portion embody the stillness of the night - that space where all seems motionless, yet transformation is already at work. Black veins running through this mass of color, contrasting with frost-like white filaments, evoke both the universe’s glacial cold - warmed only by the presence of light - and the realm of dreams, the vast expanse of the night.
Amidst this darkness, radiant shades of pink and white slowly emerge, blooming like the first signs of dawn. These colors unfold in fluid, natural waves, like celestial currents that ripple endlessly, never ceasing their movement.
The inks, applied spontaneously, have created dynamic streams and organic flows, bringing the canvas to life with a sense of motion where each hue finds its place. The areas where colors blend together reflect the unpredictability of the sky - that vast, untamed space where light appears where one least expects it.
"In Corde Coeli (46)" is an ode to the gentle, organic progression of light. It does not burst forth violently; instead, it patiently carves its path, moving through the shadows without confronting them, but slowly transforming them into spaces of illumination. This is a metaphor for resilience: even in moments of darkness, a single quiet glimmer is enough to illuminate everything around us.
As one contemplates this painting, I hope they will feel this inner movement - the understanding that light never truly leaves us, even when it seems distant.
"In Corde Coeli (46)" is an homage to trusting in hidden light - the quiet force that guides us gently yet inevitably toward awakening and transformation.
