Sometimes, the sea of existence leaves us no choice between moving forward or retreating. It simply forces us to “hold on.” In this painting, two white sails appear caught in the heart of a world in full turmoil. Around them, currents clash, colors ignite, and lines burst out in every direction. The deep turquoise of the ocean meets the reds and golds of a fiery sky, as if two opposing forces are battling around the vessels. And yet, the sails remain white. This whiteness amid the chaos gives them a fragile, almost stubborn quality. They become symbols of those who move forward together while existence rages around them. Because some journeys might simply be impossible alone. Two boats on the same sea can serve as a metaphor for love, friendship, loyalty, or simply the human presence that sometimes allows us to endure what overwhelms us. They cannot calm the waves. They cannot command the wind. But they can sail through it together. The broad white strokes radiating around them look both like flashes of a storm and the many paths life offers. Where to go? Which course to choose? Which route will carry us to the other shore? Perhaps there is no certain answer. Only this conviction: when another ship shares our horizon, even the most unpredictable sea feels a little less vast. This painting speaks of vulnerability, but also of alliance. We are not always masters of the journey. But we can choose with whom we face the sea...
