Quintessence (1165)

In this painting, waves of blue and turquoise stretch forth like deep seas, inhabited by cellular galaxies. At the centre, blazing reds unfurl in fiery corollas, like lava flowers erupting from the abyss. Around them, violets and golds weave their way in networks, like invisible roots, binding together the powers of fire and water. The whole evokes the sense of a cosmic garden, where the elements embrace to give birth to hybrid forms—half mineral, half vegetal. Here, each cell is both a star and a seed, each gleam a promise of life. The canvas invites us to dive into this profusion, to perceive what is self-evident: all that exists is connected by the same sap, the same light.
