The story behind

In this painting, cascades of molten red plunge downward, pouring into sheets of turquoise — like rivers of lava meeting the sea. I let the paint flow, collide, merge, until the boundary between fire and water dissolved. The alchemy happened on its own, mysterious, silent, radiant. White cells rise upward, coral bubbles or suspended stars, forms hovering between ocean and sky. Everything pulses, everything moves: greens and purples intertwine, undersea vegetation or interstellar cloud. On the right, blue swells surge, a raging sea or an expanding nebula. The whole canvas breathes transformation.
