In this painting, a surge of red ignites the canvas, recalling both the fiery glow of a volcano and the blossoming of coral in full light. White cells, rimmed with crimson and violet, oscillate between air bubbles caught in the depths and stars exploding across space. The composition arranges itself like a vault: a blazing arch, at once reef and constellation. Overhead, mauve and purple shades spread like interstellar clouds, while below, honeycombs stretch out like shoals of luminescent jellyfish. The movement is intense, almost organic; one senses pulsations, as if the very substance itself were breathing. Each colour seems poised to cross the boundary of its territory, to blend with another, to transform. On the right, fire bursts forth—pure, ardent. To the left, the structure grows ever more labyrinthine, as if the infinitely small traced the same constellations as the infinitely large. Here, life and the universe appear woven from the same flaming thread.
