Quintessence (421)

In this painting, a blaze of scarlet ignites the canvas like a galaxy in fusion. The red masses unfurl like coral reefs bathed in light, yet they also erupt like supernovas in the silence of space. The white and orange spheres resemble at times air bubbles rising to the surface, at others newborn stars illuminating the heart of the void. In the turn of a turquoise glimmer, the sea asserts itself once more, a liquid fissure slicing through this cosmic blaze. Here, the boundary between water and fire blurs, the elements fusing in an incandescent dance. Violet and purple hollow out abysses, like submarine caves or pockets of dark matter. One might sense distant heartbeats echoing there—traces of microscopic life or a universe taking shape. Everything seems in motion: flows of magma, marine currents, solar winds. Matter twists, fragments, recomposes itself, as if every moment were both an ending and a new beginning. And amid this alchemy of colour, one question rises irresistibly: are we gazing upon the heart of a coral, or that of a star being born?
