The story behind
In this incandescent canvas, darkness splits open to let a matrix of light emerge. Crimson and violet arcs encircle a blazing heart, as though the night itself were guarding the cradle of a sacred fire. This is the nest of Anqa, the mythical bird the Persians called Simorgh, known in other traditions as the phoenix. Here, color becomes flame, flame becomes breath, and breath carries the promise of rebirth. For Anqa knows neither end nor decline: it dies in the blaze only to rise anew from its own ashes. This painting evokes the fragile instant when the egg of the world opens again, when destruction is nothing but a passage toward transfiguration. The darker tones recall our trials, yet the luminous burst proclaims the triumph of hope. In contemplating this work, one is invited to hear the quiet call of renewal: within the heart of darkness, a fire keeps watch, ready to re-enchant the sky with its flight.
