Quintessence (1008)

This painting unfurls like an eruption of superimposed worlds. Incandescent reds set the matter ablaze, evoking the heat of molten lava, while turquoises and deep blues spread in marine layers, soothing and ever-shifting. Between these two poles, brown and copper veins sketch out lands in formation, still crossed by luminous fissures. Violet and indigo, as a counterpoint, lend an almost cosmic depth, as if discreet galaxies were hidden in the folds of the paint. Shining blue lines appear like electric rivers, linking each fragment of colour in an invisible network. Everything seems at once solid and liquid, earthly and stellar, as though the canvas were a matrix where worlds are born.
